Oklahoma Messages Project
Our speaker tonight is Denise Daniels, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Messages Project.
The mission of the Oklahoma Messages Project is: Reconnecting children with their incarcerated parents through shared reading via video messages to provide literacy and social-emotional support.
Oklahoma Messages Project helps incarcerated parents record shared reading sessions and personal messages for their children, strengthening emotional bonds, supporting literacy development, and improving educational outcomes.
Denise Daniels serves as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Messages Project, joining the organization in December 2024 following the retirement of founder Cheri
Fuller. With 20 years of experience championing vulnerable children and under served communities,
Denise is a dedicated servant leader. She believes that every effort—whether leading a major initiative or tackling a tedious daily task—has the power to shift the trajectory of a situation or simply brighten someone's day.
